Conference on Origin Traceability according to Circular 02/2024/TT-BKHCN (effective from June 1, 2024)

On June 14, 2024, VN Check collaborated with the Market Management Department (General Department of Market Management - Ministry of Industry and Trade) and the Digital Transformation and Statistics Center for Agriculture (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) to organize a workshop on the implementation of Circular 02/2024/TT-BKHCN issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The workshop program was a great success with three discussion sessions, sharing insights from various perspectives:

1. Session One: Managerial Perspective

  • Representative from the Digital Transformation and Statistics Center for Agriculture - Deputy Director - Mr. Đặng Duy Hiển shared the managerial perspective on Agriculture with Origin Traceability.
  • Representative from the Market Management Department - Deputy Director - Mr. Nguyễn Đức Lê shared the managerial perspective on Trade Industry with Origin Traceability. (Watch on  YOUTUBE)

2. Session Two: Expert Perspective

  • Representative from the University of Forestry: Meritorious Teacher, Prof. Dr. Phạm Văn Điển shared insights on Timber Origin Traceability and products derived from timber.

- Representative from the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association: Prof. Dr. Entrepreneur Nguyễn Đình Thắng shared insights on the application of new technologies in Origin Traceability.

- Senior expert in Traditional Medicine, Dr. Trần Văn Thanh, shared insights on the application of Traceability in Herbal Medicine management.

- Representative from the E-commerce Association - Senior expert in E-commerce - Mr. Nguyễn Bình Mình shared insights on the application of Origin Traceability in E-commerce.

3. Session Three: Business Perspective

- Representative from the Enterprise - Ms. Nguyễn Ngọc Yên - Chairwoman of the Board - CEO of EPOS Global Joint Stock Company - Global OCOP Cooperative.

Additionally, VN Check invited Mr. Trần Nghị from Finland to speak and share about the export opportunities for Vietnam's agricultural products and medicinal materials.

After nearly 3 hours of work with the participation of 68 delegates representing Management Units, Associations, Experts, and Enterprises, the conference was a great success with 8 insightful opinions shared. This was an excellent opportunity for VN Check to clearly define its development strategy and collaborate closely with management units to effectively implement the Standards and Technical Regulations Law (2006), the Product Quality Law, Decree No. 132/2008/ND-CP detailing the implementation of some provisions of the Product Quality Law, and Decree No. 13/2022/ND-CP amending and supplementing some provisions of Decree No. 132/2008/ND-CP dated December 31, 2008, and Decree No. 74/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018, detailing the implementation of some provisions of the Product Quality Law.
